2010Cranbrook, B.C.: Tember shuts down planer mill. Only lumber kilns in operation, sawmill idle since 1998.
2010June 13Oliver, B.C.: Sunday. An old irrigation dam built on Testalinden Creek failed, sending a torrent of liquid mud down the creek bed to impound against the berm of the Okanagan River, flooding Hwy. 97, destroying five homes, and affecting many properties. No casualties.
2010June 17Blood Indian Reserve No. 148, Alberta: The council declares a state of emergency as torrential rains and melted mountain snow combine to push the Belly River well beyond its banks.
2010June 18Alberta: The counties of Lethbridge and Cardston declare states of ememgency due to the flooding of Lee Creek and other watersheds.
2010June 18Coaldale, Alberta: The Town declares state of emergency due to the incessant rains of the previous few days.
2012MayCranbrook, B.C.: Tembec extinguishes the last of its lumber kilns.
2012Oct. 14Oyen, AB.: Gordon Lindsay Wilson (January 9th, 1923) dies. A grand old man has left the country.

2013Dec. 7Oyen, AB.: Mehalena "Lena" Wilson née Zawatsky (Feb. 23, 1920) dies.
2016May 19Regina, SK: My good friend Kenneth Wayne Moritz (July 6, 1949) died. Free from the Earthlings at last.
